The RYA Personal Watercraft course is designed for first time and experienced riders alike. Increasingly the certificate is required for launching in UK harbours and lakes, but is also needed if you want to use your PWC abroad.

Most courses take place over one day and can be taken either on a centre's craft or your own and, once passed, you are issued with a certificate of proficiency.

The course teaches you how to use your PWC safely, responsibly and with confidence, ensuring that you get the best out of your craft. It covers high and low speed riding skills, essential safety information, collision avoidance and orientation at sea.

Whether you just want to have a go on holiday or buy your own machine, our course will teach you how to get the best from it.

We are looking to revamp our RYA School Buildings this coming winter as we have done more than the countries average amount of lessons throughout last season, which is a good thing as more people are being trained in the correct manner, the water is getting a safer place to be all the time.  If you have not yet done the RYA course and would like to find out how to then please call us for details, it will also entitle you to some discount off your annual insurance (and we all like to save money)!

From 1st April 2010 we will require the owner / insurer of each craft using the lake to have successfully completed the RYA PWC course.  As craft become quicker each season we are trying to make sure that our lake is one of the safest in the country, you have 12 months to arrange a course.  The sooner you get it done the better then it’s not a last minute thing early next year.
